Tinsukia will celebrate Grand Ganesh Chaturthi by welcoming 12-foot Lord Ganesha

A 12-foot image of Lord Ganesha will be erected at West Sripuria Vivekananda Road as Tinsukia prepares for the lavish Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The Shree Ganeshaya Vivekananda Sangha is organizing the event, which promises to be filled with lively celebrations and fervent devotion. The tall, finely detailed idol will serve as the focal point for both worshipers and tourists. The organizers have organized a number of religious and cultural events, such as aarti, bhajans, and communal feasts, to commemorate the auspicious occasion.

One of India’s most popular holidays, Ganesh Chaturthi, honors Lord Ganesha, who is the remover of barriers and the bringer of knowledge and wealth. Every Hindu home has a special spot for Ganesha, the god of wisdom, prosperity, and beginnings as well as the remover of barriers. The date of Ganesh Chaturthi in 2025 is set for Wednesday, August 27. The festivities begin on August 26 at 1:45 PM and conclude on August 27 at 3:44 PM with the Chaturthi Tithi.

From Chaturthi, the fourth day of the lunar month, until Anant Chaturdashi, when Lord Ganesha’s idols are submerged in water to represent his return to his celestial home, the festivities span ten days. The festivities, which are anticipated to attract sizable audiences from all across Tinsukia and the surrounding districts, are eagerly anticipated by the locals.
