The festive season is around the corner, and Diwali is just a few days away. Putting a damper on the festive season, the price of milk is hicking again. Amul is one of the country’s milk Manufacturing companies. The price is increasing by 2 rupees per liter of a full cream milk packet. As a result, a one-liter milk packet which used to be available at 61 rupees, will now be available at 63 rupees.
It should be noted that Amul increased the price of milk three times this year. The price was last increased in the month of August. Earlier, the company had increased the price of milk in March. In August, the price of Amul milk was increased by Rs 2 per litre. Mother Dairy similarly hiked the price of milk following Amul. In the last 10 months, the price of milk has increased by 6 rupees per liter. The price of one liter of milk increased from 57 rupees to 63 rupees.
