30th July, the first meeting of the PAC. According to sources, PCC chairman Mukul Roy may not be present at the meeting. Meanwhile, Shuvendur is also expected to be present at the meeting as a member of the PC. Like the political circles, Shuvendu also wants to avoid the meeting as he does not want to face Mukul.
It may be mentioned that a case has also been filed in the High Court seeking dismissal of Mukul’s MLA post before the first PC meeting on July 30. Until the case is decided, the BJP can make that demand in court, leaving Mukul Roy as chairman so that the PCC meeting is not held. There are also complications with the remaining members of the PC being in the committee meeting. The idea of the political arena is that the party leader Shuvendu wants to boycott the meeting of the remaining 5 members of the committee for the time being if the court does not get a stay order. But according to sources, not everyone agrees with Shuvendu. According to many, then we will not know anything about the committee. According to sources, Shuvendu has called MLA Mihir Goswami in the assembly on July 26 to discuss the matter with the rest of the members.
