In an effort to improve public service delivery throughout several Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will embark on a four-day official tour of the districts of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia from July 22 to July 25. On July 22, CM Sarma will begin his tour by attending a Bhumi Pujan at Burha Burhi Than in Tinsukia and launching a recently finished water supply project that could greatly increase the area’s access to clean drinking water.
On July 23, in the CM’s Secretariat in Dibrugarh, the Chief Minister will preside over high-level review sessions for the Sonari, Nowboicha, and Tingkhong LACs. The meetings’ main topics will include strategic planning, citizen concerns, and project progress. However, CM Sarma has a full calendar of important events planned for July 24, such as the CM’s Special Grant and the laying of foundation stones at Dibrugarh University under the PM-USHA scheme. Furthermore, new infrastructural developments at Assam Medical College and Hospital will be inaugurated by CM Sarma.
Along with the ITI handover to SEED, he would later launch projects in Naharkatia, such as a Co-District Office, the Tata Strive Center of Excellence, the Road Over Bridge, and model schools. On July 25, the visit comes to an end with a review meeting in Margherita and foundation stone ceremonies at the CM Secretariat Campus. We are awaiting additional itinerary information from the CMO.
