Tata STRIVE and Airbus launch skill development centres in Delhi and Bengaluru

Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, inaugurated two skill development centres in Delhi and Bengaluru under a partnership between Tata STRIVE and Airbus India. Addressing the event, Shri Chaudhary emphasized the importance of aligning skilling programs with industry needs, stating, “This collaboration marks a significant step in equipping our youth with skills aligned to critical sectors like aerospace and defense. By tailoring our approach to local demands, we create meaningful opportunities for individuals across geographies.”The centres, located in Dwarka (Delhi) and Nagavara (Bengaluru), aim to upskill over 900 youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds over the next three years. The program is part of Tata STRIVE’s larger mission to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities, particularly to women, disabled individuals, and marginalized communities.

This initiative holds significant potential for cities like Guwahati. With similar centres, Guwahati could benefit from upskilled talent, attracting more industries and addressing local unemployment challenges.Other dignitaries present included Ms. Sonal Mishra, Joint Secretary, MSDE, and Mr. Remi Maillard, President of Airbus India and South Asia.
