Tata Motors, India’s top automobile manufacturer, has achieved a 500,000 sales milestone for the Tiago, with 1 lakh units sold in 15 months. This highlights Tiago’s growing appeal to customers seeking dynamic and comfortable driving experiences. The celebration began with a symbolic roll-out at the Sanand facility in Gujarat.
The Tiago has received over 40 awards for its appealing design, safety features, interiors, and technology integration. Available in Petrol, CNG, and Electric powertrains, the Tiago range includes the SUV-inspired Tiago NRG, which offers off-roading capabilities. With a Net Promoter Score of 51, the brand’s success is evident. Tiago is a popular hatchback with a 35-year-old average buyer age, with 60% coming from urban and 40% from rural markets. It has gained popularity among first-time car buyers, with 71% making their maiden purchase in FY23.
The brand has achieved milestones, such as a 4-star safety rating from GNCAP in 2020, making it the safest hatch in its segment.
