Tata Motors has delivered 181 Winger veterinary vans to the Government of Odisha, marking a significant milestone for the Indian manufacturer, with the vehicles being flagged off by Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik. The Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services in Odisha has chosen Tata Motors as the top bidder for a fleet of fully-built Tata Winger veterinary vans, which will be used as state-of-the-art vehicles, following an e-bidding process conducted through the Government e-Marketplace.
The Tata Winger, powered by a 2.2-litre DiCOR engine, boasts enhanced torque and fuel economy, enhanced by features like the ECO switch and Gear Shift Advisor. The Winger’s best-in-class grade-ability of 25.8% helps in easy manoeuvring on steep inclines and flyovers.
Additionally, the Winger’s independent front suspension with anti-roll bars and hydraulic shock absorbers assure a smooth ride, as does its monocoque body design, which guarantees car-like driving dynamics and low levels of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rohit Srivastava, Business Head – CV Passengers, Tata Motors, said, “These innovative vans, are meticulously engineered to ensure efficient operations across Odisha.”
