Tata Motors has unveiled a wide portfolio of commercial vehicles at EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru, including its most powerful tipper designed for deep-mining activities and an all-electric heavy-duty truck. The company said the new lineup reflects India’s growing need for construction and mining solutions and aims to support high-productivity logistics in the coming years.
Among the key models introduced is the Prima 3540.K AutoShift, powered by an 8.5-litre Cummins engine. The company said the vehicle is suitable for deep mining where power and safety are important. Alongside this, Tata Motors also launched the Prima E.28K, its first all-electric tipper, and the Signa 2820.TK CNG, India’s first factory-fitted CNG tipper in its class.
Supply chain operators in Kolkata said such heavy-capacity models can play a major role in meeting material movement demand in the eastern region, especially as road projects and metro expansion continue around the city. Industry observers also noted that electric and CNG options will be watched closely, as contractors are exploring cleaner choices for urban construction zones. Tata Motors said its exhibits are backed by advanced digital fleet solutions, including Fleet Edge, and supported by India’s widest commercial vehicle service network.
