Tata Motors Ltd. reported a sharp rise in commercial vehicle sales in November 2025, registering 35,539 units, up from 27,636 units in the same month last year, marking a 29% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The company recorded broad-based expansion across categories, reflecting sustained demand in both domestic and international markets.
According to the company, HCV trucks grew 34%, ILMCV trucks 35%, passenger carriers 11%, and SCV cargo and pickup vehicles 19%. Domestic sales touched 32,753 units, a 25% rise from last year, while international business posted an impressive 92% growth, reaching 2,786 units. Sales of MH&ICV vehicles—domestic and international combined—stood at 17,607 units, reflecting a strong 33% YoY jump.
In Kolkata, dealers noted increased fleet replacement and infrastructure-driven demand contributing to rising sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles. Transporters in the region are reportedly scaling up operations for logistics, construction, and port-related movements, aligning with the overall national upswing in the commercial mobility sector. Tata Motors, part of the USD 180 billion Tata Group, continues to strengthen its leadership in commercial mobility with advanced powertrains, connected technologies, and intelligent fleet solutions. The company recently formalised its name change to Tata Motors Limited following an NCLT-approved arrangement, with its equity shares now listed on BSE and NSE.
