Tata Motors launches Intra EV Pickup at Rs 11.95 lakh, expands electric CV portfolio

Tata Motors Limited has announced the launch of its all-new Intra EV Pickup, further strengthening its leadership in India’s electric commercial vehicle segment. Priced at an introductory ₹11.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the vehicle will be available across dealerships nationwide.

The launch marks a significant expansion of Tata Motors’ electric small commercial vehicle portfolio, combining the proven Intra platform with a purpose-built electric architecture. Managing Director and CEO Girish Wagh said the move aligns with the company’s push for scalable, sustainable mobility solutions backed by strong government support and ecosystem partnerships.

Designed for high productivity, the Intra EV Pickup offers a payload capacity of 1,750 kg and a certified range of 211 km on a single charge. Powered by a 72kW motor generating 230 Nm torque, it supports demanding cargo operations across sectors such as FMCG, e-commerce and logistics. Fast charging enables 10–80% battery capacity in about 55 minutes, while a 6-year/2 lakh km warranty ensures long-term reliability.

Vice President Pinaki Haldar said the vehicle is engineered to maximise earning potential with low operating costs, enhanced comfort and advanced safety features, including regenerative braking and fleet telematics.

The model is supported by Tata Motors’ EV ecosystem comprising over 25,000 charging points and 200+ service centres nationwide, along with flexible financing options.

In Kolkata, the launch is expected to boost adoption of electric cargo vehicles, particularly in last-mile delivery and urban logistics. Industry observers note rising demand among small businesses and fleet operators for cost-efficient, low-emission transport solutions, positioning the Intra EV Pickup as a strong contender in the region’s growing EV commercial segment.
