Tata AIA Life Insurance has registered 21 Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)-qualified advisors in Assam, reinforcing its presence in the state’s life insurance sector while retaining its position as India’s top insurer by MDRT-qualified advisors for the fourth consecutive year.According to the 2026 Global MDRT Ranking, Kamrup Metropolitan and Kokrajhar accounted for four MDRT-qualified advisors each, while Cachar contributed two. Across India, Tata AIA recorded 1,397 MDRT-qualified advisors, placing it 13th globally. Of the total qualifiers, 695 are women, representing nearly half of the company’s MDRT members.
MDRT is regarded as the global benchmark of excellence in the life insurance and financial services profession, recognising advisors for professional knowledge, ethical conduct, productivity and customer service.Rakesh Sharma, Chief Distribution Officer – Proprietary Business, Tata AIA Life Insurance, said the company remained committed to developing a future-ready advisor network capable of delivering trusted and needs-based financial guidance across the country. He said the continued recognition reflected the quality, consistency and commitment of the company’s advisors.
The insurer also said it ranked No. 1 in India for advisors with five to nine years of MDRT qualification, with 207 advisors in that category. Tata AIA added that its advisor development programme, supported by the Aura platform, focuses on training, mentorship and digital enablement to build full-time financial advisory careers.The company further said it ranked first in four of five persistency cohorts in FY26, indicating strong customer retention and long-term policy continuation. Tata AIA reported assets under management of ₹1.46 lakh crore as of March 31, 2026, and an individual death claim settlement ratio of 99.45% for FY26.
