Tata AIA Life Insurance Co Ltd (Tata AIA), as the lead insurer in West Bengal, is actively supporting IRDAI’s vision of ‘Insurance for All by 2047’ by undertaking several initiatives to increase insurance awareness and penetration in the state. The company recently organized Career Opportunity Presentations in Siliguri and Krishnagar, Nadia, to recruit Life Insurance Advisors, attracting approximately 70 attendees, many of whom opted to pursue careers with Tata AIA.
Tata AIA has also launched other initiatives, including: (1) Bimarath: In collaboration with IndusInd Bank, Tata AIA conducted an on-ground campaign across 16 districts, reaching over 5,000 potential consumers through promotional vans showcasing life insurance benefits. (2) Partnership with Chartered Accountants Association: Tata AIA celebrated Chartered Accountants Day with the Chartered Accountants Association of Malda, promoting life insurance careers to financial professionals. (3) Partnership with Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry: Tata AIA sponsored the Annual Financial Awareness Conclave, addressing MSME owners on the importance of insurance for risk assessment and growth.
Additionally, Tata AIA has ongoing campaigns such as Masik Bima Divas and a social media campaign, which have significantly boosted their reach and consumer engagement in West Bengal. The company also leverages the Government of India’s Common Service Center (CSC) network to distribute life insurance solutions in rural areas, enhancing its market penetration. As of July 2024, Tata AIA has secured the lives of over 11,000 consumers in West Bengal.
