Tarzan Nature Retreat, the nature-hospitality platform of EBG Group, has launched its Tarzan Licensing and Property Upgrade Model aimed at transforming India’s fragmented offbeat hospitality sector into a network of trusted and branded nature destinations. The initiative seeks to bring standardised operations, branding and guest-service practices to farmstays, eco-stays, nature camps, boutique resorts and independent retreats located across forests, hills, beaches, river belts and rural tourism corridors. The company said many such properties possess strong natural appeal but often lack consistent branding, operating procedures, digital visibility and guest-experience standards.
Under the new model, qualifying properties will be onboarded under the Tarzan brand and upgraded through a structured framework that includes brand identity development, design improvements, photography and content creation, OTA and pricing strategies, housekeeping standards, staff training, guest-experience SOPs, audits, marketing support and demand generation. The company may also assist in adding hospitality and wellness amenities such as prefab stay units, spa cottages, restaurant pods, plunge pools, jacuzzi units and curated food and activity experiences. Tarzan Nature Retreat is targeting the conversion of more than 1,000 qualifying properties by the end of 2026. Chairman of EBG Group, Irfan Khan, said the initiative aims to address the trust gap in offbeat hospitality by providing independent nature-led properties with the advantages of branding, SOPs, content support and demand generation.
The company said the model would help property owners professionalise existing assets while creating reliable travel options for guests and generating employment and tourism opportunities for local communities. Properties will be selected based on location potential, accessibility, safety, infrastructure readiness and alignment with Tarzan’s nature-first hospitality standards.
