Today coronavirus lockdown extended in the state of Tamil Nadu by the government till July 19, although there will be relaxation to a few restrictions, Schools, colleges, theatres, swimming pools, bars and zoos are ordered to remain shut and Political events and Cultural events with huge public participation too cannot be held. Shops can remain open for an hour longer and need to shut only by 9 pm.
With 50 percent customers allowed Restaurants, tea shops, bakeries, roadside eateries, etc can also stay open till 9 pm with following all the Covid protocols such as having hand sanitizers in the entrance and proper social distancing for customers for their own safety. only up to 50 people at weddings and only 20 people at funerals are allowed during the lockdown.
