Stellantis plans 12 Jeep and Citroën launches, commits ₹4,000 crore for India growth

Stellantis has announced a fresh investment of approximately ₹4,000 crore in India over the next three years, alongside plans to introduce 12 products across its Jeep and Citroën brands under its FaSTLAne 2030 roadmap. The programme includes seven all-new products and five major upgrades, with the first launch scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

The company said the planned launches would cover B, C and D SUV segments, an MPV, an A-segment car and a premium pickup. The roadmap includes five Jeep and seven Citroën products, taking Stellantis’ cumulative investment in India from over ₹11,000 crore to approximately ₹15,000 crore by 2030.

Stellantis India’s business grew 35% in the second quarter of calendar year 2026 compared with the first quarter, while Citroën retail sales increased 68% year-on-year during the same quarter. The company plans to adopt a multi-energy strategy spanning internal combustion engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery-electric vehicles.

The investment will also support localisation, with the company targeting 90% localisation across both brands, alongside expansion of its sales and service network. India currently serves as a manufacturing and export base, with Stellantis shipping vehicles and components to international markets.

In Kolkata, the planned expansion could widen consumer choice in the SUV and other passenger vehicle segments. The impact will depend on product pricing, availability, dealership reach, service infrastructure and the suitability of upcoming powertrains for local customer requirements.

Stellantis also plans to strengthen India’s role in global sourcing and exports, with India-developed vehicles expected to serve domestic and international markets under the new roadmap.
