Star Health and Allied Insurance, India’s top health insurer, settled over Rs.14 crore in claims settlements in Guwahati over the past 15 months i.e. from April ‘22- June ‘23. The company paid over Rs.13 crore in claim settlements to network hospitals and around Rs.1 crore in claim settlement to non-network hospitals in the region.
Star Health paid over Rs.12 crore in cashless claim settlements and Rs.2 crore in reimbursement claims in Guwahati between April 2022 and June 2023, ensuring all claims were settled within 2 hours, with most cases receiving initial authorization within 2 hours.
The company ensures timely reimbursement claims payments within 7 days of claim submission to minimize customer settlement issues. Sharing his insights, Mr. Sanath Kumar K, Chief Claims Officer, Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd. said, “We continue to strengthen our hospital network in the city to make it easier for customers to gain access to cashless treatments at a hospital close to their residence.”
