SS Rajamouli’s movie RRR breaks all records in first weekend

Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the film RRR featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The film breaks all the record at the box office in its first weekend. The film opened at a worldwide collection of Rs. 257 crore. It saw its Hindi version earned at the box office around Rs. 30 crore on its first Sunday. The film’s first domestic weekend stands at around Rs. 73 crore which is slightly lower than Akshay Kumar featuring movie ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Boxofficeindia.com reported that, “As the mass markets show huge jumps and were super strong, RRR has recorded fantastic collections of 30-31 crore nett on Sunday. It will finish up with around 73 crore nett plus on the first weekend which is the second best number after Sooryavanshi that was finished up nearly 77 crore nett on its first weekend.”

The Hindi version of RRR had opened at Rs 20.07 crore on Friday and saw growth from there onwards. In the next day the film earned Rs 23.75 crore.
