Srota Natya Academy’s new play “SOB CHORITRO JIBONTO”

Kolkata: According to the information from the Government of West Bengal, with the support of department of information and cultural affairs, the play “SOB CHORITRO JIBONTO” was staged on October 29 , Friday at the Yogesh Mime Theatre in Kolkata . This wonderful play is written and directed by Raja Sarkar.  In this play, it is seen that Rana Dutta who is a well-paid employee staggers home every night after drinking alcohol. He has a small family of two-he and his beautiful wife. But in their married life there is only emptiness. In the evening a theatre troupe rehearsals regularly in front of his house. Paltu who work in the tea shop loves to watch the drama. He has a big interesting in acting. Due to a reason one day Rana Dutta was unable to enter his own house. He had to spend the night on the bench in front of the tea shop. Paltu also joins him. After getting the news of Paltu’s interest towards acting, Rana Dutta tells Paltu that this whole world is a huge arena. In this world, every human being is constantly acting in their life. Just as the act of a character is predetermined in a play, so too in the real world situation determines the activity of every human being. According to Rana Dutta, no one in the world can do what they really wants. Every character here is like a dead soldier in a play.

Paltu, who is accustomed to listening the dialogues of regular stage plays, realized that Rana Dutta’s life is meaningless and depressed for some reason. But he has the power to face the truth. Eventually, Rana Dutta’s life took a turn as  Paltu play a special role in his life in that time. His life became meaningful. Paltu tells him that in real life all the characters are alive, no one is a dead soldier here.
