Sony India has launched the RX10 V, the fifth-generation model in its RX10 series of all-in-one cameras, targeting photography enthusiasts with a combination of long-range zoom, AI-powered autofocus and high-speed shooting capabilities. The camera features a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with approximately 20.1 effective megapixels and a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 lens offering 25x optical zoom. Its AI-powered Real-time Recognition AF can identify and track humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aircraft, while the camera can shoot at up to 30 frames per second with full AF/AE tracking.
The RX10 V also supports 4K 120p video recording, Active Mode stabilisation and AI-powered Auto Framing. It has a larger Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3-inch LCD monitor, while its NP-FZ100 battery provides up to approximately 630 still images. In Guwahati, the camera could appeal particularly to wildlife and outdoor photography enthusiasts, given its 24-600mm range, which allows users to cover distant subjects without changing lenses. Its versatility could also make it relevant for photographers covering sports, events and nature across Assam and the wider Northeast.
Sony India has priced the RX10 V at Rs 2,45,645. It is available from September 2 through Sony authorised outlets, Sony Centers, Camera Lounges, major electronic stores and e-commerce platforms including Amazon and Flipkart.
