Samsung India has hosted a roadshow at IIT Guwahati Technology Incubation Centre (IITG TIC), and the Royal Global University at Guwahati where over 100 students demonstrated their intent to participate in Solve for Tomorrow to solve pressing global issues. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a national competition promoting innovation and problem-solving among the next generation through education and innovation.
Students expressed their commitment to solving real-world problems like waste segregation, air pollution, weather unpredictability, poor air quality, water pollution, and traffic chaos, requesting a platform like Samsung’s ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ to guide and support their ideas in transforming people’s lives. Dr. Jatin Wahane, a Karamveer Chakra recipient 2023 and the world’s youngest rocket scientist, who was invited to motivate the students on the occasion, shared his experience of building transformative innovation in the field of astrophysics. He also encouraged them to think of innovative ideas to solve real-world problems.
The ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ program has introduced two tracks, School Track and Youth Track, aiming to ensure equal opportunity for all students. The School Track, aimed at 14-17 year olds, focuses on community and inclusion. “Community Champion” from School Track will receive INR 25 Lakh. The Youth Track, aged 18-22, focuses on environmental sustainability and reducing carbon footprint, with the ‘Environment Champion’, winning team of Youth Track will receive INR 50 Lakh for incubation.
