At the launch of Swiggy’s groundbreaking “She The Change” initiative, Taneeshree Dutta, hailing from Dibrugarh, Assam, received prestigious recognition from the Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. The initiative, dedicated to celebrating women entrepreneurship in India’s food and beverage industry, aims to highlight the remarkable contributions of women entrepreneurs like Dutta.
Dutta, the proud owner of Atelier Patisserie, stands as a testament to the success and potential of women-led ventures in India. Swiggy’s initiative underscores the significance of women-led businesses, with over 50,000 such establishments already thriving on its platform. These enterprises are not only driving economic growth but also creating employment opportunities, estimated to have generated around three hundred thousand jobs.
Swiggy’s commitment to fostering inclusivity in the workforce aligns with the national vision of ‘Nari Shakti,’ championed by the Honourable Prime Minister. The event, graced by luminaries from economics and academia, alongside Swiggy’s leadership, including Sriharsha Majety, Group CEO, and Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Food Marketplace, celebrated the inspiring journeys of women entrepreneurs who are making a tangible difference in India’s F&B sector.
