Škoda Auto unveils new Kushaq in India with segment-first features, enhanced safety

Škoda Auto India on Tuesday unveiled the new Kushaq in the Indian market, strengthening its strategy of democratising European technology for Indian roads. Pre-bookings for the updated SUV have opened at ₹15,000 on the company’s official website, with deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of March 2026.

The new Kushaq introduces several segment-first features, including an all-new eight-speed torque converter automatic paired with the 1.0 TSI engine, alongside a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG with the 1.5 TSI. The SUV also debuts a panoramic sunroof, rear seat massage function, and a host of features offered as standard from the base variant, such as alloy wheels, LED lighting, Climatronic Auto AC, rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming IRVM.

Safety remains a key focus, with the new Kushaq carrying forward its five-star Global NCAP rating and offering six airbags and over 25 active and passive safety features as standard. Higher variants extend this count to more than 40 safety features.
