The grand finale of the Futurepreneurs Challenge at Startup Mahakumbh 2025 saw a powerful showcase of student-led innovation, with JayantChaudhary, Minister of State (I/C), MSDE and Ministry of Education, lauding young entrepreneurs for solving real-world community problems through startups.
Addressing a packed house, Chaudhary said, “What stood out to me today wasn’t just the ideas—it was the intent. Each young entrepreneur here isn’t chasing success for the sake of it; they’re solving real problems rooted in their communities.” Chitkara University, Chandigarh, clinched the top prize for Stick Buddy, an assistive device for the visually impaired. Tula’s Institute, Dehradun, earned second place for Pragati, an AI-powered nurse robot. Vignan Pharmacy College, Andhra Pradesh, secured third for Magna Pads, offering pain relief and diagnostics for menstrual health.
Special Jury Awards went to Government Polytechnic Deoria and Rajalakshmi College of Engineering for their AI-led agriculture and child healthcare solutions. The Skill India Pavilion, showcasing 15 NIESBUD-supported entrepreneurs, emerged as a hub of inclusive, skill-driven innovation. With over 3,000 startups and 1,000 investors in attendance, Startup Mahakumbh 2025 solidified India’s position as a top-three global startup ecosystem.
