Skill India joins hands with Indian Armed Force for a Resettlement Training Program for enhancing employability of Ex-servicemen Personnel. The program will ensure the gainful Re-settlement of 70,000 Armed forces personnel after their Superannuation from the services. The Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE) in Telangana, under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has partnered with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) of the Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare (Ministry of Defence).
The program aims to enhance the employability of retired service personnel in sectors such as aerospace, aviation, capital goods, and automotive. The program will facilitate the reintegration of retiring service personnel into civilian life, catering to the diverse skill sets of armed service personnel, including disabled soldiers, widows, and dependents. The programs will be conducted in all 33 National Skill Training Institutes across India to ensure the successful resettlement of 70,000 Armed Force personnel. The Resettlement Training Program offers a comprehensive curriculum, including three specialized courses at the National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI) Vidyanagar and NSTI Ramanthapur.
