Zubeen Garg Death Probe: SIT Moves to Attach Manager’s Guwahati Property

Police investigation into Zubeen Garg’s death has revealed that his manager Siddharth Sharma had purchased a posh residential apartment in Guwahati with the money he had misappropriated from Garg.

The special investigation team (SIT) of Assam police, which is investigating the high-profile case, has filed an application in court under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) for attachment and forfeiture of Sharma’s residential apartment (flat No.3A) in Orchid Hill View at the Fatasil area in Guwahati on the ground that he had purchased the property with  money misappropriated from his employer, late Zubeen Garg.  Section 107 of BNSS deals with the attachment/forfeiture of property derived from criminal activities. The SIT has also initiated the process to attach a packaged drinking water plant owned by Sharma on the same ground.
