Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extends warm greetings on Constitution Day

On the occasion of Constitution Day, November 26, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang greeted the people of Sikkim and the country. CM Tamang stressed in his message the significance of respecting the visionary work of the people who drafted India’s Constitution, which has influenced the country’s democratic system. On this momentous day, CM Tamang called on the populace to come together and honor the Constituent Assembly members’ extraordinary vision and unwavering commitment, whose combined efforts established the groundwork for India’s democratic culture.

Additionally, he honored Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Bharat Ratna, whose guidance and contributions to the field were crucial in the formulation of the Constitution. “We must honor and give thanks to the innumerable patriots, freedom fighters, and martyrs whose sacrifices made Constitution Day possible as we commemorate it. “A sovereign and democratic India was made possible by their unwavering resolve,” the Chief Minister said. The Chief Minister also emphasized the fundamental principles that continue to characterize the Indian nation and are enshrined in the Constitution: justice, liberty, equality, and brotherhood. He urged everyone to reaffirm their dedication to these principles and endeavor to build a welcoming, peaceful, and forward-thinking society. In his speech, Chief Minister Tamang urged people to be proud of India’s democracy and emphasized that it is the biggest and most dynamic democratic republic in the world.
