Siemens Limited has launched the 14th edition of its Siemens Scholarship Program, inviting applications from deserving and meritorious first-year engineering students from government engineering colleges across India.
The programme, based on the German Dual Education model, aims to provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged families while supporting their holistic development and preparing them for careers in engineering, research and development and manufacturing. The scholarship covers all four years of graduation, with 50% of the scholarships reserved for girls.
As of 2026, more than 2,300 students from 176 government engineering colleges across 28 states have participated in the programme. Students pursuing Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Computer/Information Technology courses are eligible.
Applicants must be aged up to 20 years, with at least 60% aggregate in SSC and 50% in HSC or equivalent, along with a minimum 60% aggregate in PCM. Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh. Applications can be submitted until October 10, 2026, through the Siemens scholarship portal.
In Gangtok, the programme could provide an opportunity for eligible engineering students in Sikkim to access financial support and industry-oriented training, particularly those from government institutions and lower-income families.
Siemens said the initiative seeks to promote technical education by leveraging its technology and industry expertise.
