The SWAVALAMBAN Mela 2024 to be take place at the NEDFi Convention Centre in Ganeshguri, Guwahati, from June 14 to 18, 2024. Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the Principal Financial Institution for Promotion, Financing, and Development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India, has announced the event. The Mela offers free daily entry from 11 AM to 8 PM for programs focusing on business development, marketing strategies, and sustainable livelihood.
The SWAVALAMBAN Mela is an event that promotes local industries and economic growth by showcasing products from micro enterprises, artisans, SHGs and women entrepreneurs from various sectors including handloom, handicraft, processed food, FMCG, cane and bamboo items, water hyacinth products and other locally manufactured items.
The event includes interactions between buyers and sellers, SIDBI’s assistance in connecting with banking and formal credit systems, and training for sustainable business practices. It also offers guidance on e-commerce platforms like GeM/ONDC. The event aims to provide a vibrant platform for small businesses to showcase and sell their unique products, fostering economic growth.
