Farmers in West Bengal are reporting increased productivity thanks to Shriram Super 4466 paddy seeds, introduced by Shriram Farm Solutions, a unit of DCM Shriram Limited. The variety, developed through modern research, is gaining popularity among farmers due to its strong stem, long grain spikes, abundant grains, and disease resistance.
Nurjaman Mandal from Murshidabad praises the seeds for their medium-coarse grains and high yield with less water. “Shriram Super 4466 is disease-resistant and doesn’t fall over. I advise other farmers to adopt it,” Mandal said. Zakir Hussain from Boitra, North Dinajpur, has been using the seeds for four years. He highlights the variety’s heavier grains and increased bud bursts. “I’m very happy with the results and recommend Shriram Super 4466 to others,” Hussain added.
