Flipkart’s Shopsy, India’s fastest-growing e-commerce platform, concluded its fourth edition of The Grand Shopsy Mela from 12-17 March, offering over 16 crore+ products with free delivery and great prices. This is the 4th edition of Grand Shopsy Mela and it clocked more than 2x surge in daily demand and new customers. Shopsy’s largest shopping festival of the year experienced a 2x spike in customers and orders, with Tshirts, Saree, Bedsheets, and Kurtis being most in demand, and seller growth also increased.
Catering to the remotest regions of the country, Shopsy witnessed increased customer demand in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets such as Cuttack, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, and Mysore which emerged as key contributors. The Grand Shopsy Mela, a successful campaign, saw a 1.4X surge in users, with 41% being first-time shoppers. Over 60% of customers were from Tier 3+ cities, with top customers from Tier 2+ cities shopping for Choppers, Kids Clothing, Earbuds, and Fashion wearables. Men and women shopped for T-shirts, shoes, Kurtis, Sarees, and earrings.
