Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who is currently gearing up for his OTT debut with ‘Farzi’, in a new interview talks about the future of cinema, what works for audiences, the success of ‘Kantara’ and more. The actor cited the recent example of the breakout success of ‘Kantara’ and said that good content will always work.
Describing the Kannada film, which is written and directed by its lead actor Rishabh Shetty, Shahid told IANS, “How do you judge a film like ‘Kantara’, man? It was not a spectacle when it was released. Of course. , it’s a sight to behold but it was the audience that made the film what it is now.”
He also said, “It’s more about what kind of cinematic experience a film can provide. I agree that there is a clear demarcation between different content but I don’t see it as a change in trend. I just feel that there are multiple themes. It’s been three years and the difference is what I want to see at home and what I want to see in the theater.”
