Actor Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed the release date of his upcoming film Danki during the success event of his latest film Jawan. According to news agency ANI, Dunki will hit the theatres around the upcoming Christmas or New Year. Amid the success of Jawan and Pathaan, there was speculation that Shah Rukh’s next film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, might be postponed.
In a video shared on ANI’s X (earlier known as Twitter), Shah Rukh said, “God was very kind to us Pathan. God was kinder to Jawan and I always say this. We started on 26th January in Republic Day ( along with Pathan), it’s an auspicious day. We released this film (Jawan) on Janmashtami, Krishnaji’s birthday.”
“Now New Year and Christmas is around the corner, we will release Dunki. I maintain national solidarity. However, when my film releases, it is Eid. I am working hard, I am working harder for more than the last 29 years. I Will continue to work hard because now I am happiest when people are happy after watching the film,” he added.
Taapsee Pannu also played the lead role in Rajkumar Hirani’s film. Dunki marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Taapsee Pannu. According to ANI, the movie also stars Vicky Kaushal and Dharmendra in lead roles.
