India’s G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) concluded its meeting at the Coast Temple in Mahabalipuram, celebrating International Day of Yoga. Around 100 participants participated in a yoga session for G20 delegates and National Institute of Siddha participants.
India’s G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) concluded its meeting at the Coast Temple in Mahabalipuram, celebrating International Day of Yoga. Around 100 participants participated in a yoga session for G20 delegates and National Institute of Siddha participants. After the conclusion of the meeting, a cultural program was organized for the delegates to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Mahabalipuram.
Along with this, a local excursion before the event was also organized for the delegates. On the sidelines of the meeting, a workshop was organized wherein, Ms. Geetu Joshi, Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, said that “Achieving the 2030 climate targets will be essential to understanding the financial risks, opportunities, and impacts associated with activities.”The Finance Working Group discussed mobilizing financial resources for climate crisis mitigation, while member countries discussed reducing carbon emissions. The Sustainable Finance Working Group held meetings in Guwahati and Udaipur.
