SEEI reports released, Assam stands at the top

On Monday, the State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI) has released reports of Assam for 2021-2022, by Union Power and new and renewable energy minister RK Singh.

According to the reports, Assam showed its improvement in energy efficiency implementation putting itself at the top performing state in its group with 50.5 points.

After Assam, Haryana, Maharashtra and Punjab are in the category of 50-60 points, achiever category. Five states of the country are in ‘front runner category’ and they are Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan and Telangana.

And other states of the country are in ‘contender’ and some in ‘aspirant’ category. Earlier in 2020, Assam stood in ‘contender’ category and on 2019 ‘aspirant’ category.
