Scientists new researchers on EMBRYOS in pregnancies

Scientists have discovered that the development of embryos in pregnancies that end in miscarriage is slower than that of embryos in pregnancies that result in live births. The researchers, led by Erasmus MC, University Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, used imaging technology to examine the growth of embryos in 611 ongoing pregnancies, 33 of which resulted in miscarriage. Virtual reality techniques were used to produce 3D holograms of embryos.
Human Reproduction is the journal where the study is published.
