Scientific Farming Practices Promoted Through Farmer Training Programme in Wokha

As part of the ongoing Cluster Development Programme in collaboration with CSIR-NEIST Jorhat, a Hands-on Training Programme is set to take place on February 17 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall in Wokha, Nagaland. This training will concentrate on two main themes: the cultivation of medicinal, aromatic, and floriculture crops, encompassing scientific plantation techniques, post-harvest management, and ongoing support for farmers; and beekeeping (apiculture), which will cover scientific farming practices, post-harvest management, and related activities. Following the training session, high-quality planting materials will be provided to selected farmers and beneficiaries as a practical resource. The programme aims to enhance productivity among local farmers and promote the adoption of scientific farming methods, ensuring they receive adequate support through this initiative. Officials, farmers, entrepreneurs, and chosen beneficiaries are invited to participate in this enriching event, which is designed to bolster the agricultural capabilities of the region.
