Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asserted that the public support during election campaigns in Assam signals a strong likelihood of the BJP-led alliance winning a third consecutive term. While campaigning for BJP candidates in Digboi and Makum, he emphasized the voters’ continued trust in the NDA’s governance. Sonowal highlighted significant infrastructure developments in Assam over the past decade, such as improvements in roads, healthcare, and education, as milestones of progress attributed to the current government, contrasting it with previous Congress administrations. He praised the increased production at the Digboi Refinery as a major achievement and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating Assam’s profile nationally and globally. Sonowal urged voters to choose a dedicated representative, reiterating that the current government’s welfare programs, including Direct Benefit Transfers, have effectively addressed past corruption and inefficiencies. He expressed gratitude for past support and called for overwhelming backing for BJP candidates in the upcoming assembly elections.
