This initiative, under the visionary and resolute leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, would not only improve the nation’s fertilizer security but also empower farmers, create a significant number of jobs, and support India’s progress towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. Namrup IV is more than just an industrial project; it is an expression of PM Modiji’s dedication to strategic capacity building near the people who most depend on them and to balanced regional development.
Sarbananda Sonowal went on, “This is a very personal moment for me. As a member of parliament, I brought up the Namrup fertilizer plant situation in the Lok Sabha in 2009 and argued that a fourth unit was necessary to safeguard the interests of Northeastern farmers and tea garden communities. Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s strong leadership and development-driven governance, that arduous path has now come full circle. Assam is undergoing a comprehensive transition where progress is being transformed into genuine welfare, dignity, and long-term security for every segment of society, from energy and fertilizers to connectivity, skills, MSMEs, and tea tribe welfare.”
