Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, a special smartphone designed exclusively for athletes competing in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung will provide the device to nearly 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from around 90 countries to support them throughout their Games journey, from life in the Olympic Village to medal celebrations.
The Olympic Edition device will play a key role during official podium moments through the Victory Selfie, which will make its Winter Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026. For the first time, the feature will also extend to team sport events, allowing all athletes to capture and share their moments of victory. In addition, Samsung has introduced the Victory Profile, a new athlete storytelling initiative using portraits shot on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, starting with around 490 athletes from nine countries.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition features Galaxy AI, an edge-to-edge FlexWindow, a 50MP dual rear camera system, on-device Interpreter for real-time translation, and AI-powered Photo Assist. The device also comes with special Olympic-themed design elements, wallpapers, and pre-loaded apps to support athletes’ daily needs and performance. In Kolkata, Samsung’s continued association with the Olympic and Paralympic Games is expected to strengthen its premium brand image and drive interest in foldable smartphones. Retailers and industry observers note that Olympic-linked innovations often boost consumer attention toward flagship devices, reinforcing Samsung’s leadership position in the high-end smartphone segment in eastern India.
