Samsung TV Plus, India’s leading free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service, has inked a first-of-its-kind content deal with top global Creators, including the worldwide premiere of Mark Rober’s first-ever dedicated FAST channel in India. The partnership introduces six curated channels, expanding Samsung TV Plus’ portfolio to over 160 channels accessible on more than 14 million Samsung Smart TVs across the country.
Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer and one of the world’s most influential Creators with over 71 million subscribers, brings his unique mix of science, creativity, and entertainment to Indian audiences. “This channel is a way to spread curiosity and make learning fun for people around the world,” said Rober, highlighting his goal to inspire interest in science and engineering through engaging content. Other channels joining the slate include Michelle Khare’s Challenge Accepted, Epic Gardening TV, The Try Guys, Brave Wilderness, and The SorryGirlsTV.
In Kolkata, where smart TV adoption continues to grow rapidly, retailers report strong consumer interest in Samsung Smart TVs as families seek quality content for education and entertainment. The launch of creator-led FAST channels is expected to drive increased engagement, particularly among younger audiences seeking interactive and educational programming. Salek Brodsky, Senior VP and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus, said the collaboration “captures a shared sense of wonder that brings generations together,” emphasizing the company’s commitment to making world-class Creator content widely accessible.
