Samsung to launch Galaxy A07 5G in India next week, targets young users with camera and battery focus

Samsung is set to expand its A Series portfolio in India with the launch of the Galaxy A07 5G in the first week of February, aiming to attract digital-first consumers looking for strong photography features and long battery life at an accessible price point. Designed for online entertainment and visual storytelling, the Galaxy A07 5G comes with a dual rear camera system featuring a 50MP autofocus primary sensor and a 2MP depth camera. The F1.8 aperture enables enhanced low-light photography and portrait shots with natural bokeh effects, while the setup is tuned to capture vibrant colours and sharp details. An 8MP front camera supports clear selfies and video calls with reduced noise.

The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth scrolling and video playback. Its high-brightness mode delivers up to 800 nits for better outdoor visibility, and the screen is protected by a two-step tempered glass for added durability.

Powering the device is a 6000mAh battery—20 per cent larger than its predecessor—supported by 25W fast charging and optimised power management for all-day usage. In Kolkata, where demand for affordable 5G smartphones with strong cameras is rising among students and young professionals, the Galaxy A07 5G is expected to see strong traction, particularly in the mid-range segment driven by social media use and video consumption. Samsung said details on pricing and offers will be announced at launch.
