Samsung partners with Mahindra to launch digital car key for electric origin SUVs in India

Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, has announced the rollout of Digital Car Key support for Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs through Samsung Wallet, offering Galaxy smartphone users a secure, keyless driving experience. With this integration, Mahindra Group becomes the first Indian OEM to adopt the Digital Car Key feature, enabling users to lock, unlock, and start their vehicles directly from their phones.

The feature, backed by Samsung Knox security, allows users to share their digital car key with family or friends for limited access while maintaining biometric or PIN-based protection. “Our partnership with Mahindra marks another exciting step in delivering connected and secure experiences within the Galaxy ecosystem,” said MadhurChaturvedi, Senior Director, Services & Apps Business, Samsung India.

InKolkata, where premium smartphone users and electric vehicle adoption are steadily rising, industry observers believe the innovation could significantly enhance the appeal of Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6 eSUVs.
