Samsung launches its super-premium, next-generation R20 ultrasound system for general imaging

Samsung India unveiled its super-premium R20 ultrasound system today, marking a significant advancement in general imaging. Powered by Samsung’s Crystal Architecture™, the R20 promises superior image clarity, contrast, and diagnostic accuracy across multiple clinical applications, including abdomen, thyroid, musculoskeletal, vascular, breast, obstetrics, gynaecology, and urology.

The system integrates AI-driven automation tools such as Live LiverAssist and Live BreastAssist, enabling real-time lesion detection and BIRADS classification. Auto measurement tools and Deep USFF provide automated quantification with high diagnostic consistency, enhancing workflow efficiency. The ultra-high-definition OLED monitor and ergonomic design focus on clinician comfort, reducing strain during long scanning sessions. “The R20 embodies Samsung’s commitment to intelligent healthcare innovation, delivering AI-powered imaging excellence and clinician-centric design,” said Atantra Das Gupta, Head of HME Business, Samsung India.
