Samsung launches Fit India Walk-a-thon ’26 on Samsung Health app ahead of Republic Day

Samsung has announced the launch of Fit India Walk-a-thon ’26, a nationwide step-count challenge on the Samsung Health app aimed at promoting personal well-being through everyday physical activity. The initiative is open exclusively to users in India and coincides with Republic Day celebrations. Registrations for the challenge opened on January 22, while the walk-a-thon will run from January 26 to February 24, 2026. Participants are required to complete 2,00,000 steps within 30 days to qualify for rewards. Users can track their daily progress on the app, with a live leaderboard enabling participants to compare their performance with others across the country.

Those who successfully complete the target will be entered into a lucky draw and receive a scratch card under the Benefits section of the Samsung Members app. As part of the rewards, three winners will receive Amazon gift cards worth ₹10,000 each, while 1,000 winners will get gift cards worth ₹500 each, the company said. In Kolkata, the initiative is expected to see strong participation, driven by rising health awareness among urban consumers and increasing adoption of fitness apps and wearable technology. Industry observers note that digital wellness challenges are gaining popularity in Kolkata, particularly among young professionals and tech-savvy users seeking structured fitness goals.

Samsung said the Fit India Walk-a-thon ’26 reflects its continued commitment to encouraging healthier lifestyles through accessible digital platforms.
