The School Track, themed ‘community and inclusion’, highlighted solutions for mental health, LGBTQ inclusion, and digital literacy.232 participants from the 100 teams will receive expert training in presentation and communication skills to prepare for the regional rounds. SP Chun, Corporate Vice President of Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized the potential of youth in driving social change and the broad-based participation from across the country.”Samsung’s ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ has created opportunities for school students and youth to present innovative ideas. The quality of ideas and the participation from remote regions are truly inspiring,” said SP Chun.
From a Kohima market perspective, the competition’s regional focus has enabled local innovators to present ideas that could address unique community challenges, fostering a spirit of problem-solving and entrepreneurship in the region. The top two teams from each of the five regions in both tracks will form a national pool of 20 teams, which will undergo rigorous training and mentorship. These teams will also visit Samsung’s Regional Headquarters in Gurugram and R&D Centres across India.Samsung has partnered with the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi, and other strategic collaborators including the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and the United Nations in India, to support this initiative.First launched in the US in 2010, ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ is now operational in 63 countries and has seen over 2.3 million young participants globally.
