JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Business Leader of the Decade’ award at the 15th AIMA Managing India Awards, recognizing his transformative leadership in expanding JSW Group into a global powerhouse.
The award was presented to Jindal in a ceremony attended by Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan as the Chief Guest and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada as the Guest of Honour. Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG India, read the citation acknowledging Jindal’s contributions.
Under his leadership, JSW Group has doubled its revenues to $24 billion and nearly tripled its annual steel production capacity to 39 million tonnes. The conglomerate has also strengthened its presence in renewable energy, cement manufacturing, and India’s infrastructure modernization efforts. JSW has grown into the country’s second-largest private player in the ports sector while also expanding into electric vehicles and military drones.
