The annual general meeting of the Sadou Guwahati Sanskritik Mancha was held at Jamshed Bhawan in Santipur. Presided over by the chief advisor of the Mancha, Juwadul Islam, several officials and members exchanged views on the activities to be undertaken by the organization in the coming days. During the meeting, a new executive committee was formed unanimously for the upcoming term.
Accordingly, Niju Bhuyan, Anwar Hussain, and Bhaban Borthakur were appointed as advisors; Dhananjay Sharma as President; Juwadul Islam as Working President; and Chandan Kumar Das, Syed Abdul Kadir, Bhupen Mishra, and Subal Sinha as Vice Presidents. Moinuddin Ahmed was named General Secretary, Arabinda Deka as Cultural President, and Naushad Ali as Secretary. Prashanta Chowdhury, Naina Begum, and Abdur Rahim were appointed as Joint Secretaries, Paresh Chandra Deka as Organizing Secretary, and Tulo Khan Chowdhury as Treasurer. Senior journalists Jayanta Kalita and Nurul Hussain were appointed as Publicity Secretaries.
According to another decision made at the general meeting, a full committee will be formed in the next executive meeting by gradually including the remaining members. The meeting concluded with a collective decision to work unitedly to make the Sadou Guwahati Sanskritik Mancha stronger and more active in serving the interests of the people of Assam.
