Originally written and composed for the film Sarbabhuteshu by Prajna Dutta, Phire Esho Abar sung by ace singer Rupankar Bagchi. Released by Rooh Music it gets a reprise avatar in a musical short by Prajna wherein he tries to preserve the ethos of a singer-songwriter and his muse. The video features actress Kasturi Chakraborty and Chittrali Das, music producer and guitar player Mrinmoy Sanyal and has guest appearances by the director of Sarbabhuteshu, Sarmistha Deb and actor Debdut Ghosh who plays the role of a director in Sarbabhuteshu. What is most interesting is that Prajna is seen, heard and also directs the aforementioned video.
According to Prajna, since this song is very close to him for more reasons than one, it was very natural for him to come up with a reprise version dipped in his independent artistic sensibilities. After all being truly interdisciplinary is what he specialises in. Shot by Swapnil, the narrative of this song scape entwines with the story of a song that prevails even when all else fails. It is the power of hope within hopelessness that is celebrated through the poetry and music that entwines to form this audiovisual presentation.
