RNAIPL has announced that it is making progress towards its 2045 Carbon Neutrality goal and will be crossing several sustainability milestones by 2030.RNAIPL’s carbon neutrality roadmap includes increasing the share of green energy, improving energy efficiency, and continuously adopting energy efficient technology at its Oragadam plant. The strategy has already allowed the automakerto cut down the equivalent of 87,500 tons of CO2 emissions every yearas of FY 2022-23.
RNAIPL currently sources 60% of its electricity from renewable sources, and will expand its solar plant capacity to 14MW by 2026. It is working towards meeting 85% of its energy needs with renewable power by 2030 and transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2045.
Its commitment to energy and resource reduction, renewable energy integration, and technological advancements will continue to position it as a leading player in sustainable manufacturing.
