Rizong Karate Association had conducted a program at Naxalbari on 21st February, 2021. In total 46 students received equipments worth Rs. 30,000/-. Rizong Karate Academy decided to give the equipment to the students for free so students don’t need to buy karat equipment for the championship. Students also received belt, certificate & felicitation for their hard practice for the year.
Rizong Tamang, the only person in North Bengal to win an official National Medal says that karate now has become a business, but he is conducting the class to keep everyone fit and if any karate student has financial issues can come and explain him problems and he may allow them to join the class for free. And if the students are worthy to win a championship they will also get the opportunity to play the championship and make the district proud
